Despite what many people believe, making a Will is quite easy. Advice can be readily obtained from your family solicitor. The Heart Research Centre can also advise you. Did you know that many people don't make a Will? In most cases, failure to make a Will is simply because people do not get around to it. Others find that contemplating their own death is somewhat morbid and depressing. Over 50% of Australians die without making a Will. Yet if you do die without making a valid Will, there is no way of ensuring that your wishes will be carried out. Making a Will is something everyone should do, even young adults. I already have a will
If you already have made a will it is easy to update it to include a bequest to us. When you have a change in your situation it is a good time to review your will. This change could include marriage, divorce, death, birth of children and grandchildren or a change in your financial circumstances. If your situation has changed significantly you may wish to write a new will however if no other changes are required a simple amendment (codicil) to your will making a bequest to the Heart Research Centre can be arranged with the help of your solicitor. |
