Suggested wording for including the Heart Research Centre in your Will

 If you would like to make a difference to the future and include a Bequest to the Heart Research Centre in your will, below is the wording you may like to print out and take to your solicitor. Click here to download a printable version of this wording.

"I bequeath ...% of my estate (or the sum of $.......) to the Heart Research Centre of Level 7, 14-20 Blackwood Street, North Melbourne, to be applied to the uses and purposes of the Centre generally and I direct that the receipt of the Secretary for the time being of the Heart Research Centre shall be sufficient discharge for my Executors."

Or

"I devise and bequeath the rest and residue of my Estate [or alternatively ‘the whole of my Estate'] of whatsoever nature and wheresoever situate to the Heart Research Centre of Level 7, 14-20 Blackwood Street, North Melbourne, to be applied to the uses and purposes of the Centre generally and I direct that the receipt of the Secretary for the time being of the Heart Research Centre shall be sufficient discharge for my Executors."

If possible it is more helpful for us if the money is left to us for general purposes as then it can be applied to where it is needed most. It is also preferable if you do not include a dollar amount rather a percent as the dollar amount may become very out of date over the years from when the Will is written until it is executed.
