Ms Rosemary Higgins - Research Fellow and Training Program Manager

rosemary_higgins.jpgRosemary Higgins has extensive expertise in the rehabilitation of cardiac patients and the management of health behaviours in these patients. Ms Higgins is currently employed in the dual positions of Research Fellow and Training Program Manager at the Heart Research Centre.

In her position of Research Fellow, she has managed or coordinated a variety of research projects and worked directly with cardiac patients and health professionals. She has been actively involved in the dissemination of research to health professionals, through publications, conference presentations and workshop delivery.

In her position as Training Program Manager, Ms Higgins develops, delivers and evaluates training for health professionals. Additionally, she has experience in counselling individuals and couples as well as experience in running groups for both patients and health professionals.

Rosemary Higgins is a Past President of the Victorian Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation and is also on the Executive Management Committee of the Australian Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation Association.

She is currently completing her Professional Doctorate of Health Psychology at Swinburne University.
