Michelle Rogerson is a registered psychologist and is currently
completing her PhD in exercise psychology at Victoria University. Her
qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (Honours in Psychology)
from Melbourne University and a Master of Applied Psychology majoring
in sport and exercise from Victoria University.
In her PhD, she is investigating physical activity and depression in people with coronary heart disease. Michelle Rogerson joined the Heart Research Centre as a Research Fellow in February 2008 and is currently working on a follow-up study involving women with heart disease who participated in an earlier project 12 years ago. Ms Rogerson has a keen interest in cardiovascular health, and a specific interest in the psychological benefits of physical activity. She has been following the work of the Heart Research Centre for the past few years, and is enjoying working on various projects with the research team.
